Impact and Reflection
This project highlighted both the potential and limitations of using Rec Room as a tool for VR design and collaboration. While the platform falls short in terms of user experience with its design tools, it underscores the importance of realistic interactions in improving spatial and design skills. The insights gained from this project influenced my approach to VR design, leading me to explore more advanced platforms like Tilt Brush and Gravity Sketch for future projects.
The most significant impact of this project, however, was in enhancing team collaboration. By working entirely within a virtual environment, we experienced firsthand the power of avatar-based interactions. This approach improved team dynamics, creating a more immersive and engaging way to collaborate, which traditional digital tools often lack. The project demonstrated that VR can transform the way teams work together, offering a new, more connected form of digital collaboration.
