At the Center for Immersive Experiences, I worked as a VR developer and UX researcher on a project that explored how immersive tools could support computational designers during early-stage design and fabrication workflows. I led the development of four VR applications using Unity and Oculus Quest, focusing on improving usability, feedback cycles, and spatial reasoning within complex 3D modeling tasks. Through interviews, surveys, and ethnographic sessions with expert users, I identified key barriers in existing workflows and translated those insights into interface refinements. My research-informed design iterations resulted in a 14% improvement in design optimization outcomes, while the integration of immersive interaction models led to a 32% increase in process efficiency. The project was supported by CIE and directly informed my master’s thesis work on human-centered VR systems for creative professionals.
